BIOGRAPHY

Ashley Nicole, better known as Lee Lee is a rapper from the Midwest born in South Bend Indiana, she spent most of her life in "the hood". Lee Lee has been writing music since starting middle school in 1994. She moved down south to Florida in 1999. Coming to the realization that Florida wasn't the place for her she moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2004. She realized her passion for being a lyricist and became a recording artist in 2005. That is where she met one of the most influential people in her life-Dat Boi Rj of Flatline Media, what at the time was better known as the Verbal Assassin, also a rapper from the Midwest. Lee Lee already felt a connection considering that there were both from the same small town in Indiana and met in such a big city. When the two met Verbal Assassin had already put out a mixtape entitled "These Streets Volume One" and was in the process of working on many other projects including a Bone mixtape. Over time Verbal Assassin showed Lee Lee recording techniques and introduced her to the rest of the Flatline family : Meme Blaze, Issues, Britty MoMo and Jnyce. In 2006 the two officially joined forces and Lee Lee became the first female rapper of Flatline Media. A relationship that began musically turned romantic. After going through a substantial amount of struggle together, including living in a homeless shelter for almost a year, Lee Lee and Dat Boi Rj got married in 2007. Lee Lee has recorded a multitude of tracks independently and is also actively working on several collaborations. She won Michiana's Hottest Artist 2010 as well as best female rapper and best new artist. FA$E BIOGRAPHY

FA$E was born Chamar Goodwin, in Atlantic City, N.J. Of Mother Joann Goodwin Locklear he grew up in East New York “Brooklyn”. He was introduced to the music industry at a young age by his father, D Ski of Bushwick & East New York Brooklyn. By the age of 13, FA$E constantly did what was needed to survive the streets of Brooklyn many could contest. He was well known for his loyalty and taken care of his people. FA$E, eventually left the cold streets of Brooklyn to see what the world had to offer. That’s when he joined the U.S. Navy. Music had to be put on hold as FA$E had to serve his country by doing 2 Tours of Duty in Iraq. While in Iraq, he realized life is too short when you’re talking to one person one day and the next day they‘re gone. Due to the lost of his Grandmother, who was a major inspiration in his life by teaching him that, “He has No Limits in Life, Only those that he set for himself”, FA$E was sent back a few weeks early to bury her. Remembering his lessons his Grandmother taught him fueled his passion to make it in the industry.
Upon return home FA$E decided to pick back up his talent and take it to the next level. He began working on his 1st indie project titled “TORMOIL”. Unfortunately that project was never put out. That situation only added fuel to the fire in FA$E's eyes and he would be known and respected as an artist in the game. FA$E eventually made his way to feature on four Emperors Mixtapes prior to the ending of 08' and in Jan 09', featured on DJ Gemstar of Shady Ville Records Mixtape titled “ The Piff Report”, With the likes of Jadakiss, 50 Cent, Eminem and others; FA$E has also appeared on the cover of Heard Magazine in Jan 08, in place of major artist Yung Berg. This is promoted around the country by Naja Promotions. He was also able to shoot 5 videos. FA$E is definitely making his mark in the underground industry. He has even been able to return to his home state of N.Y. to the “Get your Buzz up” showcase sponsored by Jhatch in Feb. 08 to compete against many artist and place 3rd. In the Summer of 09 FA$E decided to leave uncle sam and persue his music career. Not long after he returned to home to perform at "Get Connected," in N.Y at Quad Studio and landed a Digital distribution deal with Mogul Meetings. He also began his own label "Faseworld Entertainment" With long time friend Sherod Melvin aka KRYSE and has began a very successful socail network. (faseworld.ning.com). Jan 09 FA$E once again landed on a magazine cover as well as completed his first indie Album "The Reconstruction" . With solid production, a distinct voice, powerful lyrics , and top notch writing skills along with a mellow swag that appeals to all fans old and young and the looks to fit the image. Ride Out Wit Da Gneous

Ride Out Wit Da Gneous Vol 7 by DJ Gneous

Ali J Review: Ride out Wit Da Gneous Vol 7

As always, yall know I’m about quality in music!! So of course every time I’m listening to a mix I get my jam on, don’t get me wrong, but at times too WE all have to take the time to step back & think about the music that we listen to. Music is a strong tool & it influences well, but Volume 7 did aim to please!
I have to say the beats & the transitions were definitely on point throughout the mix DJ Gneous always leave you wanting more. I will say though lyrically I was not too impressed with the majority of the artists but I surely did get my head bobbin on. Depending on your day & what you’re looking for flavor wise, you can be all about base, vibe & transition or you could be all about receiving a teaching within the lyrics it’s all in your taste. Either way, for me, listening to DJ Gneous, I get me satisfaction!

Ride Out Wit Da Gneous

Ride Out Wit Da Gneous Vol 6 by DJ Gneous

Ali J Review: Ride out Wit Da Gneous Vol 6
I have to tell yall, when I “rode” out with DJ Gneous on his Vol 6 mix I must have been in a trance for the whole 18 minutes of the mix, & I had to listen to it again after I played it the 1st time, LOL! The lyrics from each artist was hot & well put together & combined by the DJ. There was not a dull song in this mix & it kept my full attention!!
Depending on the person & their taste along with the type of day there having, some people have certain “acquired listening structures”. Basically what I mean is, some people just listen to music for the “hype factor” especially if they had a long day. Some listen potentially to hear one of their hot hits so on & so forth. For me however, combining & collaborating mixes, I’m always listening to the whole, especially with the lyrics cause as you know, REAL ARTISTS GOT REAL SHIT TO SAY & THATS WHERE THE ESSENCE IS. So when listening to this mix, get the true taste of the vibe that DJ Gneous is putting out there, understand that he just didn’t just “throw” some songs together. When you understand his concept, then you can really “ride” out with substance!!

Indie Artist Of The Week

CAIN represents the Southeast Side of Chicago, but puts on for hip-hop as a culture. He was best known for throwing parties as a strike against boredom and an outlet for his crew’s music. Using his God given sense Cain took this attitude with him across the country to do parties and shows. Fast forwarding to the present CAIN has been grinding nonstop performing with some of Hip-Hop’s newest and hottest artist including Kanye West Artist GLC, Wiz Khalifa, The Cool Kids, Pac Div, Anton Genius, DJ Neil Armstrong. CAIN was also allowed the privilege to perform for Hip-Hop Mogul Russell Simmons at his 2002 Youth Hip Hop Summit in Ohio. With his fluid style he’s took the best from the best to create CAIN. “I got mad love for Jay- Z , in a way his music saved my life. Notorious B.I.G showed me what Confidence is, Common taught me to have pride and Kanye taught me to be persistent”. I rap from both angles where I come from and where I want to be, the dark and the understanding side of the street life and what you have to do to escape it. I am ridiculously versatile because I’ve been through so much”. CAIN has also performed at number of spots and festivals including Abbey’s Pub, Elbo Room,
CMJ Festival NYC, Subterranean, Water for Children CA, The Wild Hare, and U.S. Beer Company. “Hip-Hop means everything to me I believe it is my life my culture, it’s my world. It is the voice of our people. It’s the music of the struggle. I love Hip-Hop for real. Without God and Hip Hop I wouldn’t be me”.

Ride Out Wit Da Gneous

Down On Me (remix) by DJ Gneous

Ali Js Music Review: DJ GneousDown on MeRemix
This was a song I had not heard in a while. Now with all the good jams that we hear on the radio, we get the DJswho put their own spin to them. Some of them come out on top, no doubt, others, well not so much.
I like the remix that Gneous did with this song, made it fresh, especially when you completely forgot that a song existed & then youre likedamnthis was my cut, lol!!! As I have said before DJ Gneous has a unique style of mixing music, sounds & lyrics. He stays consisted with the times, but brings the flavor of old school hip-hop to the forefront!!
I am truly thrilled about this mix, bringing a fresh vibe to an old club favorite!! Surely you will have to listen to this mix a few times while you’re going forward with your day. It will keep you upbeat to finish out your day strong!!!

Love, Peace & Respect,
Ali Joseph
